The Move to Rexburg - May 23, 2008

When school finished on May 23, 2008 we went home to load the U-Haul trucks for our move from what we had considered our home. Dallin and his friends from school packed most of everything we had into two trucks and a trailer. By midnight our things were loaded and the floors cleaned and we were all settled in for our last night campout in the family room at Burley.

Leaving what we had dreamed of as the ideal home in the country with a few acres behind seeded to alfalfa and a gorgeous view of the mountains we headed out for our adventure to live in the city.

The hardest part was leaving the friends and neighbors we had grown to love! Our only hope is that we can move forward with faith trusting that Heavenly Father knows what he is doing with our lives and that we will someday again feel the friendship and love with these wonderful neighbors and friends from Burley and Declo and Rupert who we truly never want to leave.

We have been promised time and time again, though, that He will not leave us comfortless. In fact, we can see His hand in our lives every step of the way and we will not forsake Him either. We know that Jesus Christ lives! We know also that He teaches us the same way today that He did anciently -- through apostles and prophets!
